![]() I've got a feeling its directly linked to the QR feature and because we have no form of "task manager" or menu to see what's sitting in QR because of this, it could be something erroneous running in the background without us knowing, like I found SSX randomly being open. Only thing that's connected to the XSX is the external drive via USB on the lower of the rear USB ports and still, as I've always been in Energy Saving mode.Īs it stands my external HDD hasn't spun up / down since turning off the XSX. I had no game or app updates, console was last updated 26th Jan, running the latest OS version available, pad up-to-date. Strangely however, I did find Halo MCC was running in QR on rebooting even though I'm sure I'd checked that all games were closed prior to posting the above update.īefore shutting down this time around, I've checked everything once again. Since recently it also happens more and more (not sure if this is since some last update) that I play a Game from the external drive it shows external hard drive ready after around 10min and crashes the game and then shows the hdd content again till next 10 minutes which repeats itself. The controller randomly disconnects and reconnects when playing Diablo 2: Resurrected. The Controller is the latest Series X version and has the latest updates. This is currently the most annoying bug on my Xbox Series X. Bug Report Wooow-21803 September 24, 2021, 4:17pm 1 I’m using an XBOX Series X controller on a PC using bluetooth. I also tried to change the Power Mode to Energy-saving. I already tried a factory reset (without deleting the games on the hdd). The other issue which comes with it is that the Xbox Series X Controller loses its connection to the Xbox each time this happens and I need to wait until the Controller reconnects. The issue seems to go away sometimes when I completely shut down the Xbox or restart it many times (one time is usually not enough) till the issue is not happening again but the issue comes back very often when turning the Xbox on from Instant-On mode. This issue was not there with Xbox One X and the same external drive still works fine on Xbox One X. Since attaching my USB Storage (Seagate 8TB) from Xbox One X to Xbox Series X I have issues with it that it disconnects every some minutes and sometimes even after seconds. I feel like I’m going crazy.I have the same issue but to me the Power Setting seems to not make a difference: Went back to fortnite, started disconnecting again. I played Halo Infinite, Doom Eternal, Carrion, and Forza 5 all for an hour or 2 and my controller didn’t disconnect once from any of those games. There are many reasons why your Xbox controller may be having syncing or power problems. Why your Xbox controller keeps disconnecting or turning off. Another issue that can cause your Xbox controller to disconnect is interference. Heres their step-by-step guide on how to fix an Xbox controller that wont stay on so you can get back to crushing it at Call of Duty®. You can also check the battery level in the Xbox Accessories app on your console. If your controller is flashing, it may be time to change the batteries or recharge the controller. It still disconnects every single match every 5-10 minutes. One of the most common reasons for Xbox controllers disconnecting is a low battery. I have tried restarting the console, controllers, new batteries, using the USB-c connection when I play… none of these have worked. My system is up to date, all of my controllers are up to date, I just re installed fortnite, so it’s up to date. No matter which controller I’m using, normal or elite, it always disconnects every 5-10 minutes. I am having to use one controller while keeping the other on my desk so I can quickly turn it on, sign in, and continue playing with the other controller when whichever controller I’m currently using inevitably disconnects. I usually use my elite series 2 controller for most games so I thought maybe fortnite doesn’t work with the elite controller so I tried the controller my series S came with and the same issue persisted. Fully disconnects, won’t respond, light still on, unable to turn controller off, character just runs straight the whole time this is happening as the controller is fully unresponsive. I have played 12 matches in the last couple days and every single match, without fail, my controller disconnects. 1 is on Xbox one, 1 is on PS4, 1 is on Xbox series X and I am on Xbox Series S. Hey everyone, my friends and I all recently re-installed fortnite a few days ago. ![]()
